My smart car test drive

I traveled to Princeton New Jersey this weekend to test drive a smart car. I first saw them in Germany back in 2002 and always wanted one. Now they are coming to the USA.

U know, i hear these ppl complaining bout gas prices, but look at reality gas was made to be used just like cars r meant to be driven....im a car guy, and if i want to spend lots of money on fuel then i will, becuz its my decision im buying the fuel n ur not so dnt worry about it. i enjoy long drives, i live to drive, and wen sumone says ur wasting gas..i say its ok, im buying the fuel, my car is in top condition..its all on me....i wuldnt drive this car..its weak, u cant modify it..no fun in it

I also love to drive. I have had everything from fast cars to trucks. I like the smart for only one reason. I like the way it looks. I like the way my corvette looks too.

I want one of these cars. People might laugh at me, but screw em, cause I'll be laughin all the way to the bank with the money I didn't spend on gas.

i've seen a fair few of these cars out on the roads now. they seem to be getting more popular. they do look pretty cool.

i love the diesel one its so good on fuel never have to fill up and very nippy even on the highways dont try to put veg oil in it i tried and was a bum to start first time for whole day ive never had difficulty using veg oil in a diesel motor ive used for years ,i think it might have something to do with the parts being so small easily clogs up the injectors got it started again but that was a gamble on brand new car thought i had destroyed, it thank God , seems i only have worn the ignition

its kind of comical that people are using alot of gas(and money) moving cars that weighs 1.5 ton. you weigh 80 kilos and u move 1.5 ton of metal, kind of respectless to nature also,a complete overkill of energy,its all about looking cool and get fake respect for somthing you are not. some of these can go up to 60 miles per gallon

1st of all you can modify, 2nd its not weak, its 1 of the strongest cars out there, and fun is what this car is allabout.

Why do so many hate these cars, I personally think it's a cool little car and it looks fun to drive :D

These little Smarts are classless.

Owners especially here in the Uk often drive and own much larger expensive cars.

Gordon at Manchester Smart told me two customers some while ago also owned a Bentley Arnage and a Ferrari.

They bought a Smart to drive around town which where it really belongs.

Great little cars for city work.

I must have one. I'll just need the salesman to help me lift it up into my truck bed. As long as you don't take it off road, or through more than 6 inches of snow, and put a rock on top of it so the raccoons don't tip it over at night, it seams to be a fun little toy.
