GOP holding the people hostage over funding for abortion is so absurd since it has been illegal for the government to fund abortions for a very long time. Boner agreed to Obama's budget last night at about 39 billion too! 3.5 hours left until shut down.

What about the jobs? I don't remember you guys campaigning on anti-abortion and voter suppression platform. It was all about jobs, and the GOP has done nothing, tax cuts for the rich WILL not create more jobs, that has been proven over and over again. Oh and for the second falsehood major cuts now will only hurt the economy, it's a given, tell me why don't you want a stronger economy? Oh right elections! Sad that the GOP has no problem hurting its citizens to win an election.

Why in the world would they lose market share? Their competitors have to pay the same tax increase and would therefore raise the price of their goods and services the same amount as everyone else. What I'm saying is that if companies don't account for increases in the cost of production, whether it be raw materials, labor or taxes, they will go out of business. Also, CEO's of publicly traded companies DO NOT set their salaries. Do you know why most corp. dont pay taxes?

for the right, and especially the tea baggers, this is about doing whatever they think is against something a Democrat or Obama wants...we've seen them be in favor of things only to be against them the moment they find out the Dems support it...we'll see it again with the debt ceiling...Boehner and Cantor each voted to raise it 6 times under Bush..now that a Dem is in the white house its suddenly a bad idea to raise it
