Clean Air Auction & Art Exhibition: Kacey Wong

Kacey Wong talks about how he thinks artists can impact society by bringing forth issues and encouraging greater public engagement through their work.

He donated the artwork "Exhale" to the Auction. His glass gun sculptures are his direct response to the problem of air pollution in Hong Kong. He sees the quest for clean air as a campaign, a war.

The problem with the quality of our air has a lot to do with our 'system', which is the core of all problems. Just as all government of the world is 'promoting' the environmental issue, yet very few policies are in fact support this at all. On one hand politician talks of human right as if they really care, then on another they are actually promotes war and in the name of 'security' they're actually supporting the arms industry.

All things are connected, focusing one issue changes nothing.
