  • @MadDogMahonie That replaced the old two stick did it not? I had that tranny on a couple of RD cement mixers and I loved it. You could shift going backwards, (reverse) 5 times. Mack got it's Granite standard mixer to lite. That 38,000 pound rear they like you to take now is easy to snap an axle on a rough job site. The 44,000 means you may be overweight a little but you don't break anything no matter how bad it is. I'd love to cross a deep footer with the 65,000 pound Mack rear.

  • one of the best trans ever built, i love theese things. my boys would always stare in amazement when i would go threw the gears...

  • I would love to watch this man go thru gears on my 59 B series Mack,I suck at driving it,but I try

  • @stinkingdog101 ya ive driven a couple of these now there awsome for road buildin hookin gears in rewind hahah

  • @jd450lh ur not writing a letter. ur leaving a comment

  • I bet that when that coffee cup is full he can go through the gears and not spill a drop.

  • I drove one these before...seems that you had just as many in reverse as you did fwd but you could only hold it to about 3rd gear pr so before it got out of hand.

  • You're right, 4th high to 5th low would go but it would rattle away unless you did the lever shift and then split it into low, I put a lot of miles on one of those in an 85 R model with the old camelback suspension and a 36" sleeper, not quite as fancy as those rolling condo's nowadays but she never left me stranded.

  • I used to drive an R model Mack with a Mack Super Ten ( I believe it's the same as a 12 without deep reduction), and I could pre-select all the splits until I went from 4th high to 5th low where I had to move the lever into 5th and then the range selector into low. If I pre-selected these shifts, it would just grind. I think I saw you go from 3rd high to 4th and then flip the splitter into low, am I correct? Thanks.

    God Bless,

    Jeff
