You know, maybe this is actually a good thing. Maybe the fact that Stephen Harper is exploiting the system in unprecedented ways is actually serving to open our eyes to the problems that have always been there, waiting to be abused. Others were just not honest enough to take such advantages.

Five years ago, Ontario let a big opportunity to improve Canada's democracy slip through its fingers. But five years ago, Harperland was still young. Maybe it's time we tried to change the system again.
