some of my friends went to school with her, forever amazing love carie

jumpin around wasnt foolish, it was what bluegrass n banjo needed, a little oommph
-
I agree..A little bit too tactile lol.

This girl sure knows how to pic but i seriously can't get over the fact that she makes a total fool of her self jumping around like that on the stage. Might be my bluegrass conservatism talkin' but.... She knows how to pic that banjo though!

i just discovered an angel. hope you like your new home!

The tune that she's pickin is Earl's Breakdown. Great job. She was so early in her career, and she died so young. RIP.

Wendy was 20 years ahead of ALL the rest of the female artists in Bluegrass--not only was she a SUPER picker--but her arrangements are very innovative...

RIP
A truly amazing, unique talent...with the best hair in bluegrass! What a tragedy for music that her career--and life!--were cut short by illness at such a young age!!

Wendy was an awesome talent! I agree with the last two comments. She was a pioneer with regard to the banjo, and with other instruments like guitar, fiddle and others. It's too bad that she was taken away from us in the mid 1980's.
