The last mass at St. John Cantius Church in the Delray neighborhood of Detroit.
After serving the declining area for 105 years, the church has closed its doors on 10/28/2007, never to reopen again. Its decorative elements will be given to other churches.
Time will tell how long it will take for pillagers to break their way into the beautiful interior, or if it will be set ablaze as predicted by a local firefighter.

I think it was totally ubsurd of the Bishop to close such a beautiful Parish insted of a modernist plain Parish they build nowadays. She should have had at least the desency to offer this parish to the FSSP, the ICK or more appropriately the Cannons Regular of St.John Cantius in Chicago, or even Una Voce Intl. the parish for use for use of the Latin Mass, which was liberated just days before this Mass took place.
