  • @qopedet11. yes but u must take in account that NYC is the biggest city in the U.S. Bigger population equals more buildings, more people and more buildings equal greater fire potential...make sense? they are true men along with every other brother firefighter in this country they just get the privledge to fight the beast more frequently. Theres no reason to knock other FD's were all on the same side and thats what the brotherhood is about. Something u have to be apart of to understand

  • @junebug9594 If you look very closely, the tillerman (guy in back) is steering teh back wheels.

  • ok what does the guy in the back of the ladder trailer do? what is he steering?

  • Im 16 and a volunteer firefighter and about to join a 2nd company i hope to someday be a New York City Firefighter...

  • Who is the one LONE dissenter??????

  • FDNY Engine 24 Tiller Ladder 5

  • If yall want to see fast and safe responce times check out Baltimore city fire dept

  • @amon16

I'm sure there are differences. Seatbelts on with everybody seated is becoming a big thing in the US now so it's important to get everything but your SCBA, helmet and gloves on before you get on the rig if you can. There may be times where you have to gear up while enroute but we try not to.

  • @firepower782

They carry all their gear, and put the SCBA in trucks while on the way to the location... They get informed in the truck on what they can expect at the accident site, and so they prepare in truck... And they are out of the station in less then a minute, whith all their gear... But i think that the european gear is a bit different than the american

  • not to criticize but what was the call. they seemed to take a little longer than others

  • @amon16 If they are then they're not putting on all the gear that most American firefighters are. Or wearing their seatbelts...
