@Sunshine96818 Yeah absolutely. A little slower than many I've heard, but that makes it sound better to me. This chick is amazing...

I'm trying to learn this piece, and this is the version I'm trying to learn from. It's crystal clear, done at the right speed and tone, in my opinion. Many of the "masters" seem to just be trying to prove how fast they can do it. This is one of the best versions. In fact, it seems like the women play this particular piece better than the men, with more style and dynamics. The men seem to attack the piece, the women perform it.

So what the hell is wrong with Cuchi,Cuchi ?Its about who the babe is and the talent that comes with it all . Lets loosen up and except all of the Charo!!

She breathes in sync with the music, absolutely fantastic. I want this version, it's the most "soulful" I have heard yet.

@SonyV1U Segovia was responsible for turning the solo guitar into a serious concert instrument, and is also responsible for the switch from gut to nylon strings. His technique isn't up to snuff compared to today's pros but that is partly because he was an early figure in solo concert guitar and today's guitarists are working off his back ; studying his style, improving upon it, using his transcriptions etc.
In his prime he was far better than Charo imho. Listen to his early recordings.

Charo is a competent professional-level classical guitarist and a master pop performer. It is a fun combination.

Finally, she actually plays the real music without " the show backup". And this WAS nice playing. Clean and tastfull.

way to go Charo ! Reminds me of the late Jayne Mansfield, Marisa Hargitay's mother. She had a very high I.G. and played classical piano.
It should come as no surprise to anyone who knows classical guitar, that Charo learned her craft under the unquestioned master of the guitar, Andres Segovia. Truly a talent that is overshadowed by her "cuchi cuchi" act.
But the day will come, when her talents as a master guitarist will be recognized. Hopefully sooner than later.

Look at her face. She isn't feeling her music, she is living it. It is literally giving me, as Charo would say, the bumps of the goose.
