Jerry Garcia,David Crosby and Jorma Kaukonen- 10.28.69

A tasty jam interlude with Jer,Crosby and jorma on Oct 28/69. Sometimes the stereo mix if off and such but it is an overJll treat for sure. I'm not sure if this may be in 68 though because during Oct of 68,the band sort of gave the boot to bobby and pig. Thus creating wornderful playing from several bands,mostly jamming away. Most were at the Matrix. Then again,this is probably the correct date,so Im probably yakking away for nothing. Get those 10/68 Hartbeats shows if you dont have 'em already.peace

EvaculateT - Thanks for posting this. It's amazing. Interesting that the boys sort of gave the boot to Pig and Bobby back in '68. Can you say more about that? Don't worry, you're not "yakking off" at all. I find the history very interesting.

BTW - the Deadbase is a book created by DeadHeads cataloguing all known Dead shows.

I'd bet that's almost certainly Jack. You gotta realize that Jack used to be a guitar player and switched when Jorma had him move to San Fran to play in the Airplane. So at most he would've been playing bass 4 years at this point, and since it's a complete improv he's probably holding it down repetitively to let everyone else riff. At about 2:45 he starts playing a few fills that have his unmistakable signature approach.

but neither jack nor phil played repetitive lines in their lives. please open your ears--- don't depend on others...trust your own ears!!!!!!!! this was not jack or phil..... please trust your own ears.
