it might be of interest to some that tohatsu measures the 18hp at the prop while yamaha for example at the head, thus this motor even though older tech and lots cheaper is better value overall to many others

That's true - tohatsu are probably the best value on the market.
This one was 15, not 18 (the same body), recently they introduced 20hp in the same body! It costs less than two grands!
The most important factor for me is that Tohatsu are made in Japan, not like Yamaha and Honda (europe). There is a difference in quality - well noticeable.
Had that engine for almost 3 years, it was heavily used - 2-3 days per week sometimes, for many hours every day. Next will be tohatsu as well!

I will get an 15 hp next summer with 330 rib i think it's gonna be an suzuki 4 stroke my dad doesn't like 2 stroke with that mix thing and it's smokey
