On Wednesday Nov 4th, over 10,000 people participated in "hair transplant history" by making the Live Hair Transplant Webcast the most-viewed Live Hair Transplant Surgery in the history of hair transplantation. The FUE hair transplant procedure, streamed live from Dr. Alan Bauman's web-enabled Operation Room in Boca Raton--Florida, was performed on Los Angeles Actor/Director Greg Benson (MediocreFilms) using the NeoGraft device. Special thanks to bestselling author and talk-show host, Spencer Kobren (TheBaldTruth), who hosted the Live Chat from his studio in Los Angeles--taking live calls and monitoring the text chat. During this particular segment of the two-hour long Live Chat, the esteemed Dr. Edwin Epstein (President, International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery) called in to the program and discussed some of the 'finer-points' of Follicular Unit Extraction with Dr. Bauman. During other portions of the Live Chat, Benson's friends called in to wish him well through the procedure and recovery. During the course of the two-day procedure, 3378 follicular-unit grafts were harvested and implanted by Dr. Bauman and his team for their patient, Greg Benson, to recreate the hairline and thicken density in the crown area. NeoGraft/FUE is a no-scalpel, no-stitch hair transplant procedure which allows for faster healing, less activity restrictions post-operatively and leaves no 'tell-tale' linear scar.
