When I was at Crater Lake, we were able to do some cool training. This day involved some tactical search and resuce, with a visit from the US Air Force out of Portland. This clip is very rare, airspace is highly restricted within the rim of the lake. It was pretty cool to be able to catch the HH-60 Pave Hawk having some fun!

  • Nice vid. In 1992 the unit in Portland was a combined HH-60\HC-130 unit with Pararescuemen integrated into the squadron. At that time it was the 304th Rescue squadron. The 301st was at that time located at Patrick AFB in Fl after relocating from Homestead AFB near Miami after Hurricane Andrew. There still there. I was in both of these squadrons..

  • Awesome footage.
