Know the history of the Catholic Religion and know the great plans of Pope Benedict. It is good if you respect what was composed and uploaded.

This is cool, but I don't particularly like the 3/4 timing. It sounds a little "sing-songy." If you are looking for an alternate contemporary setting, please go to my channel and check my videos.

I don't like this compared to the other way to sing worship and praise. Yuck. :-(

Ok so this setting is just confusing me.

@InfinitePlaylist And for what it's worth ... I've been involved in ministry longer than you've been around period. I've seen the ebbs and flows of people in and out of the church, and I can assure you, the music is only a piece of the puzzle. Apathy and ignorance amongst the faithful are more pressing problems that need to be addressed. Too many have forgotten or never knew the riches of our faith, and so they fall away, not realizing what they are losing.

@InfinitePlaylist Firstly, I don't see where you get off with "you are part of the reason we are losing the younger members of the Catholic church". I happen to agree that the manner in which God is worshiped is secondary to the fact that He is worshiped period. As for the 70 to 400, excellent - keep up the good work. Obviously you have something really good happening in your parish. Instead of randomly bashing others, why don't you share how you've been so successful. Just a thought ...

Wow SkipperChuck, you are part of the reason we are loosing the younger members of the Catholic church. I lead both an adult and teen contemporary band at my church. We started with 70 in attendance 7 years ago, and are blessed to have over 400 on an average Sunday now.....MANY of whom are teens and young adults. It doesn't matter how you worship God, as long as you do. Catholics need to remember they are Christian first. Humility, grace and understanding are wonderful gifts.....

@IanSamuel88 Not quite sure I understand what you mean by "trite". I don't get that from this particular mass setting, nor do I consider it "emotional", but my listening to the various new settings has been aimed at being objective and trying to consider musicality and how easy it would be to teach the congregation.
As far as turning God into a teddy bear goes, I cannot understand how that would take away desire to turn to Him, especially in times of need.

@SkipperChuck42 Young people are not staying Catholic, and trite, emotional music like this is not doing anything to hold them. Do they know the majesty of God? If not, having a relationship with Him is pointless, because it is His divine physicianship which can heal them of what they are struggling with. Turning God into a Teddy Bear has taken away any impetus to come to Him. You can't have only power and not love, but that He is loving in His majesty is what is life-affecting!
This one is pretty good. Again I'm not a fan of contemporary settings. What do you think?
