Love love love Nia! Have taken classes by Martha Randall, who is a First-Generation Nia instructor. What I like best is there are so many routlnes using the 52 steps, and they can be done to different music---so lots of variety. Never boring! Try it, everyone!

Powerful movement fitness practice. I love that Nia can be experienced and explored at any level of fitness. It is a stepping stone to great aerobic fitness and mobility, increased range of motion (joint mobility and function) and flexibility, strength, stability (balance), agility and precision. The nine movement forms (3 dance, 3 martial arts and 3 healing arts - including yoga) integrate body awareness, pleasurable journey, beginners or top athletes. Move your body for life-long fitness.

@blahblahchachacha i'm researching both atm and read from someone that does both that zumba is tougher to keep up with, more formal, specific.
-
question: i have two left feet. zumba is a disaster for me (and anyone who happens to see me.) so, honestly, how fast are the step routines?
-
Wow, I wanna try that, looks like great fun!
