An overview of the BEST boots I have ever wore. Treat yourself to a pair of these Meindl boots and your feet will love you for them. Okay not the best review I've ever done, actually its a little scattered, but what the hell....to much Baileys in the hot chocolate with breakfast.

  • thats rather a meindl lhotse not yukon ....meindl don't have any model named yukon.....hanwag have a very similar model that is named yukon

  • @DSBC91 Okay, just going by what the box said.....

  • Look like a great pair of boots my friend, I have always like the look of Meindl, I may have to give them a try in the future

  • @ColinOutdoors Your ankles and legs will love you for them. The only con is that the foot bed is fairly firm, so lots of miles on ashphalt or concrete will wear your feet out pretty quickly. Cheers.

  • @nikazp Yes iknow but i have a shoedryer that doesent dry with heted air, it dryse with cool air, takes a little buit longer but it works, iu know alot about goretexshoes, all my shoes i have is gorerex

  • @buskusen97 Was that a joke? I seldom have a shoe dryer when visiting the great outdoors :) I also believe you may ruin your GTex membrane even faster if applying heat inside.

  • @nikazp Have a shoe dryer then!

  • The big minus with such boots, had the Island Pros for 6.5 years, is that if they get wet it takes days to dry they up - in the field you may not be able to so you'll have to stick plastic bags inside. The GTex membrane was done sometime afetr 6 years. Now I have a swedish pair of Lundhags. If you get wet in marshes or while wading you can just switch the insoles and socks and keep walking, almost totally dry.

  • this looks like the meindl island mfs active.

  • I got a pair of the "Perfekt" hikers from Cabelas and they are pretty close to perfect indeed. It seems that after a foot injury a couple years ago and no insurance to see a doctor my foot did not heal corectly. Now I can only wear German-made footwear even though I dont really care for Germany. Meindl boots and Haflinger Clogs "house shoes" are all I can now wear. Both are very hard to find here in the States, but both are priced fairly at $200 for the Meindl boots, and $105 for the Haflingers
