☼ You MUST be able to make MIXED knots for this pattern! (FK/BK & BK/FK)
[ Watch The 'Mixed Knot' Tutorial Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6YrnFZKPKE ]
You will need 60" of 4 different colors. Fold the strings in half and tie as usual.
Set your strings up as follows: 11 22 33 44
Note: [ 11 & 22 ] will be paired off [ 33 & 44] will also be paired off in the pattern so make sure they are complimenting colors!
1.) 7FK with L1
2.) 1 FK/BK with (new) L1
3.) 5 FK with L2
4.) 1 BK/FK with L8
[You are now repeating step 2]
5.) 1 FK/BK with (new) L1
6.) 5 FK with L2
7.) 1 BK/FK with L8
8.) 7FK with L1
9.) Start from Step 1 Again ( Repeat 1-9 continuously to form a pattern )
☼ Knot Abbreviations ☼
FK = Forward Knot
BK = Backward Knot
FK/BK = Forward / Backward (mixed knot)
BK/FK = Backward / Forward (mixed knot)

if I was going to make a chalk bag belt ( basically the size of a belt but used for rock climbing) sized bracelet out of this, what are the sizes of thread I need?
rvramirez808 5 days ago
@rvramirez808 I'd say you'd want to just work with entire skeins to be safe.

I liv these videos! Why dont u ever make them anymore?!
thebesties246 1 week ago
@thebesties246 It's not that I don't make them anymore. I just am sick always (autoimmune disease and other health problems) and have been trying to do bracelets and general crafts spaced out.
I was pretty bored of being a one trick pony so I started to switch back and forth between crafts and bracelets. The reason it looks like I've quit is probably because being sick means I don't post all that often.

Ok so when you say 60 inches, does that mean you fold them over and have approx 30 inches of string to work with/ And if so, do you just ties a simple knot after they are folded over?
pawndave 2 weeks ago
@pawndave Yes, you tie an overhand knot so the fold becomes a loop.
