Panel Discussion: Performance Pay: Where It's Working

Six federal Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) grant recipients from diverse locations around the nation discuss effective measures for implementing education reforms through TIF — and their impact on teacher quality and student achievement. Hosted by the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching (NIET), the panel coincided with the release of the report, Performance-Based Compensation: Design and Implementation at Six Teacher Incentive Fund Sites (PDF), by Jonathan Eckert, Ed.D, a professor of education at Wheaton College, IL, and former U.S. Department of Education teaching fellow.
