The beauty of PS Home (and Network) is that it is free to use. You can pay for stuff but a lot is free. From clothing, apartment and furniture for your character to free demo's and minigames. Regular updates are free as well.

@MrPrototypz take it from a person who has had both of these system (me) i had ps3 and it was actualy pretty good, gaming was pretty decent,playstation home is really cool like the sims ya know? but its a matter of prefrence and opinion i mean i was a playstation kid ever since i could hold a controler so you can imagin how hard it was to switch but my friends talked me into it, i found that xbox 360 had (note this is my oppinuon) better games and a bigger online community i am proud xbox owner

Ok I Love Ps3 because it's KINDA like sims and it's fun. Xbox Live is like Big headed little people. Also Ps3 Homeyou can do stuff you can't do on Xbox Live. If you like Ps3 Like this if you say Xbox is better Forget you! Now about 75% of the time if you like Ps3 Home Better you haven't played Xbox Live Same for people who like Xbox PS3 Home Users add me Vshuwn 18

This is a poor comparison and not comparing apples to apples either.
If you want the Sims, then by all means go with a PS3 and home. I never use home myself, so if I was to compare the things compared here, it would be very similar. The big question is - do you want to play or do you want to goof around in a sim like world?
I prefer to play - and either does that well. I happen to prefer my 360 due to the controller though.

@ZukoIRL First of all, Know your shit. Second, PS3 has no problems with online aswell as Xbox. And if it DOES lag, then it is the game's fault. Also, Xbox has gotten hacked TWICE, and both times were major, as PS3 only was down for a few days (A complete blow to people who has no life). The hack had nothing to do with the online, it's because people don't pay for online so the firewall was easier to pass by.
