yes that is correct. you have to balance all muscle groups or else you get an uneven muscle pulling resulting to injury. :)

i heard from someone that if ur training ur stomach u also need to train ur back or else u can get back injurys.. is that right?

yes i didnt know this (im 15)
and i was in the gym and some abs excersise use my back muscles and i never used my back muscles so i couldnt move my arms up for a week because i over worked a muscle i pretty much never used

consider that many things depended on the back muscle... and the exceeding weight on the abdominal region would stresses the back.
