It's not a rock paper scissors scenario, there's no reason why you can't use cardboard to suffocate a fire.

@endimion17 I agree. I don't see what he was freaking out about.Other then inexperience with how fire reacts and how to properly contain/control it. If he didn't know what he was doing(which seems to be the case) he shouldn't be performing experiments involving fire without learning how to properly control them. But I guess this is a 4+ year old video and I am sure this is nothing but a faded memory for him. One can only hope he learned an important lesson in fire from this.

If the fire didn't die out before the guy kicked the can, the video would've been so much more entertaining. :facepalm:

I have no idea why do people start panicking when combustibles burn in controlled conditions. You just put something on top of the can and leave it. The fire will die of oxygen starvation and everything will cool down. I bet a lot of accidents happen because stupid people start panicking.

OMG when you make a vacuum out of a soda can, MAKE SURE IT'S NOT WINDY!!!. I use a stove fire for this experiment.
