Ooops! I commented on the wrong vid this was intended for the criminalz freeway ride lol

This a cool video, but seriously this kids on fixies don't wear helmets and the fwy ride is reckless. A motorcycle can hit a cyclist while splitting lanes.

Yeah, but only if you can take a shower when you get to your office. Otherwise....

Fucking sick...

About half of these cyclists ride road bikes and freewheels; and some were women.

Finally, if you've ever ridden a bike in china or europe (or any other country with mass cyclists), you know that the potential for something great exists.

Your co-workers, bosses, peers, strangers etc. may think you're nuts, you may be afraid of riding on the streets because you're aware of the dangerous driving habits of others (and yourself!), but you may inspire others to do ride their bikes.

If you pay close attention to the video, the cyclists are actually traveling faster than the vehicles. This is not always the case, but rush hour and any heavy traffic permits the possibility. The message seems to be this: If you want to save time and money, and possibly improve your quality of life (environmental and physical health), then ride a bicycle. You may even have fun.

However, due to the end of the bicycle craze of the 1890s and the existing Pacific Electric Railway lines connecting Pasadena to Los Angeles, the cycleway did not and was not expected to turn a profit, and never extended beyond the Raymond Hotel into the Arroyo Seco. In the first decade of the 20th century, the structure was torn down, the wood was sold for lumber, and the Pasadena Rapid Transit Company,a failed venture headed by Dobbins to construct a streetcar line, acquired the right-of-way."
