Remember : when your looking to buy a Vette - no.1) the Corvette is the only True American Sportscar with a fiberglass body, but the frame and everything under the car is metal & rubber, if a Corvette is 30 years or older & has always been exposed to the changing outside weather conditions. Most likely (98% of the time) will have a rusty undercarriage, frame, mounting brackets, suspension parts, floor pans, gas tank, brake lines & suspension springs. It will have dry rotted - rubber body mounts, trailing arms / strut rods / control arm rubber bushings & streering hoses, it will also have worn out front and rear wheel rotor bearings, among alot other underneath components that will need to be replaced. And this part of restoring a Vette is very very costly $$$ to replace. Beware : If you view a Vette on You Tube or elsewhere that has low miles, unrestored & has fresh paint w/ shinny wheels, this is exactly what you will be viewing or buying - a rust bucket w/ a newly painted body & shinny wheels.
The Corvette is unlike the all metal body Muscle Cars that rust from the outside in & is visual at first sight, Corvettes true real conditions can be manipulated by their unrusted perfect painted bodies. This is why I have so much money invested in my Corvette, cause my Vette has been restored and upgraded completely from the inside out, top to bottom , no bolts unturned, everything has been replaced with all new components just like when it came from the factory, but much better. I offer a full description of the frame off restoration upon request. Thanks for viewing my video.
