Well, if they dumped you and "rethink" it, damn. It's like treating the dumped person like a door mat, isn't it? If they come back, they better treat you better.
Let them grow up, and know your worth/value in the grand scheme of things. Don't try to please just one person.
You'll never know someone who really cares is watching you throwing your dignity away for this one person. And watching someone you care for being dumped and "reconsidered" just is a pain.
