  • BTW....that is the wrong title name for this song. It is from Billy Cobhams majic LP.

I believe it is called...."on a magic carpet ride!"

  • I've seen Billy Cobham Live in the early 80's.

Small smoky club in Ft Lauderdale, 4 piece band.

To describe the show would be like this:

"Image taking a space ship and traveling the galaxy for 2 hrs...then returning to earth!"

that's what it was like (and i wasn't even high)....LOL!

  • Inside Billy's head while he plays: "I WILL EAT THIS ENTIRE AUDIENCE RAW, SPIT THEM OUT, POUR SOME SALT ON THEM AND EAT THEM AGAIN!!!!"

  • 6:07 *Billy intently looks over at Alphonso* "Should we bring it back, man?

*Alphonso nods his head, indicating the end of his fucking ridiculously epic solo* "Yes, Billy. I have completely fucked with this audience's mind quite enough for one day".

  • Of all the band incarnations George D always seemed to bring out the fire in Bill

  • one of the sweetest parts of this song is the Alphonso solo and George peppering those keys behind him....such a sweet, dreamy sound! And oh yeah....BILLY RIPPED IT!!!!!!

  • Rahahahahahaaaa! Look @ Billy's head movement in between 6:29-6:34. Classic!!!

  • Sure the guitar guy is a porn star!! Mayonazin!!

  • ECCO COME FARE L'AMORE CON LA MUSICA........

  • This band is nasty! George Duke playing "Inca Roads" with Zappa is what did it for me.
