Shortly after 11am on Tuesday Dec 29th, 09 Central Falls FD along with Pawtucket FD arrived at 444 Roosevelt Ave to find heavy smoke showing from this vacant 2 sty commercial building. Firefighting efforts were hampered with temperatures barely reaching 20 degrees, wind gusts over 40mph and a windchill of -3 degrees.

After failed attempts to battle the blaze from the interior, firefighters were forced to evacuate and fight the blaze from the exterior. 5 alarms were needed to bring this blaze under control. Several firefighters suffered minor injuries.
