Saturday 11th to Monday 13th June 2011.
We went to Kutahya, a town famous for its ceramics on a very luxurious bus ride. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, the only hotel we booked and paid for in full in advance, with no chance of a refund for cancellation. It was nice to stay in such a great hotel for the same price we would pay for a Backpackers in Australia. We saw very few other guests, even at breakfast on the first morning. Maybe it had something to do with the election.
There are many lovely old buildings to see, and when we climbed up to the hisar (fortress) we met some friendly locals having a picnic who offered us tea and snacks.
We had a very enjoyable stay in this town and, especially, the Hilton.
