Obama's birthday Celebrated in Allapattah, Miami 8/3/2008

On Sunday August 3, 2008, a coalition of organizations celebrated the 47th birthday of Senator Obama in a colorful party celebrated at the "Juan Pablo Duarte Park" dubbed "The Dominican Park" located in the heart of the neighborhood of Allapattah, in Miami.

Richard Charman was the host of the event that was created online at the barackobama website.

The following is the invitation that was placed on the barackobama website and emailed several times to over 120 persons, including Candidates running for office, Democratic Party Executives, members, community organizers, general supporter of Senator Barack Obama and some business owners, as well:

(Parking available free of charge).

We will have refreshment for all in attendance. You can bring as many people as you want.

We want you to sign a birthday card to be delivered to Senator Obama along with a present that we bought for him and a list of 47 doors knocked per person in attendance, symbolizing a door knocked for every year of his birthday.
