These where the same windows in Chicago and they sucked!

There's been some kind of debate raging about this being too "trendy" or "slap gears on it and calling it steampunk" but from this steampunk author I say "Bravo!" This display screams thought, concept, and effort. The detail of the backdrop, the way the marionettes work, and the overall feel of this display is really impressive.
Nicely done, Macy's. Good form.

Pretty cool, but the steam punk elements seem to be costume rrather than mechanism.
Makes me miss NY though--store windows there are a highlight of the season.
