A great idea is a Bad Boss web site I found. The only problem is that, so far, not one of the bully bosses I've had is listed on it. If we could check such a site before we accept a job, we could avoid the problem! But, it seems, people won't do it!
Another bonus is that, just think, these creeps would have a very hard time getting another job!

One more thing, this former nasty boss of my mother's said to her, during a confrontation about being undermined, "you need this job." My mother replied, "I need A job, not THIS one." The boss' reaction was to say, "you frost my ass." My mother finally got her transfer.

My mother tried transferring to a different dept several times to get away from a nasty female boss, but the boss kept scoring her a few points shy to allow it. My mother finally confronted her about the sabotage and said she'd was going to make it impossible to be given anything but a perfect score. The boss knew SHE was on notice and gave my mother a perfect score. My mother laughed saying she was always a good worker, so she didn't even do anything differently.

Okay bullied people, no more fear. Buy a gun and shoot the bully in the face OR for more laughs, shoot them in a non-lethal area and watch them double over in pain. Problem solved and you can enjoy family members cry over their worthless family member's life. Go beyond the norm!
I cannot believe people tolerate this crap.

This was and Excellent discussion on Workplace bullying, we need to join the revolution, and make sure that we get information out, and bills/laws passed ( HB2142 ) that will make it illegal to bully, and be equal to the existing harassment laws.

@phwebbie , Hi Phwebbie, when you say the broke laws, what kind of laws? I would like to know, I am going through the same thing, and would like to be able to articulate this type of behavior, that can eventually help me to secure a lawyer that would want to work with me. Please help.

I was bullied and yelled at buy a secretary in my office. Her supervisor ran way during the incident. I completed a workplace verbal violent incident report. My employer, called my union rep and I to a fact finding meeting. It was held a few days before Christmas. The employer continued monthly meetings ( I called them whippings). These were held to improve my attitude and work. Co-workers were called to report I me, the stress of these monthly meeting cased sick leave, I was forced to retire.

Maybe your complaint can make them correct some of their problems and help the staff left behind, also I fnd it very helpful that I fighting back and that I have a lawyer that believes me and is not putting me down for speaking my mind. I hope all is well for you now.

My advise to anyone who is experiencing workplace bullying are below:
* Record each issue in a diary (what was it / date / people involved / time etc).
* Bullies like control, find a way to let them know that he/she certainly does not.
* Confront the bully - I certainly caught my bully right off guard (I actually made her cry)
* State what you WILL do if it continues.
Much love to all who must tolerate foolishness like this.
