I saw my baby crying hard as babe could cry
What could I do?
My baby's fun has gone
And left my baby blue
Nobody knew
What kind of magic pell to use?
Slimes and snails, or puppy dog tails?
Thunder or lightning
And baby you said...

Oh my goodness David Bowie. I just googled this movie because I'm trying to decide which of Cary Grants films to watch next. This wins.

By the way: Judge Turner's friend (who spoils the poem for him) is Ray Collins. The same actor who (twelve years later) would go on to play Detective Lt. Arthur Tragg, of LAPD Homicide, opposite Raymond Burr's PERRY MASON.

Wild Mass Guessing: "Richard Nugent" IS Jareth, using a human disguise. He chose Susan Turner to be her Queen, so he wants to take her to the Land of Goblins.
