I love the video. It really shows the behavior and morphology quite well. Gyrodactylus stableri has since been moved to the genus Fundulotrema. If you have any fixed in etoh I would love to talk. P.S. love "Foundations"!

The setup is a Nikon AlphaPhot with video camera attachment. Some of it is shot with a 40X objective, although the attachment probably acts like an extension tube and ups the magnification. The highest mag video is with the 100X oil immersion objective. The camera is Microimage Video Systems model YC/NTSC (I'm not sure these are made anymore). Thanks for the comment!

Thanks, SDK. I remember that some years ago G. stableri had been moved to a different genus, so thanks for the reminder. Seems like it was Swinglia or something like that before Fundulotrema. This summer we didn't do much work with Fundulus, and those populations are a little distant, but certainly by this time a year from now I'll have some in EtOH for you. Thanks again!
