Lindsay Luhnau is running for city council ("Alderman") in Ward 8. The election is October 15, 2007.

I fully support Lindsay in Ward 8. She is definitely the best candidate running.

• About these interviews

I've been doing these interviews to try to increase the public's access to information about the candidates. I don't necessarily agree with everything they say (which I could say about everyone), but I believe that open dialogue is critical if we are to move toward democracy.

I try to do as little editing as possible in these videos. I mostly cut out parts where I'm asking a question, where there's an extended pause or where the interviewee flubs their words and asks for a redo.

My intent here is that you should hear what the candidates have to say without the filter usually applied by the media.

I'm just one guy doing the whole thing on my own time (camera operation, interview, video processing/editing, posting to the web). I'd love to see interviews like this of every candidate in the elections — but I just don't have the resources to do that all myself. I only managed to get 5 interviews done and posted for the whole election this time. Hopefully I'll get more done next time.

Cool. Good for you for doing this. Too bad you don't have interviews with other candidates from the Ward though.
