This is a quick and rather funky demonstration of the Nanozwerg, an analog monophonic synthesizer manufactured by Manfred Fricke Berlin (MFB), Germany. All sounds (bassdrum, snaredrum, closed hi, open hi, tip-tom low, tip-tom high, crapclap, sweeping pad, funk lead, FM loop) have been created from scratch on the Nano, then they got sampled with an Akai S-20 desktop sampler and arranged on my Roland MC-50 MK II sequencer. The bassline has been directly sequenced and live tweaked with/on the 'Zwerg. There's a slight Chorus effect (DigiTech TSR-12) and a bit of compression on the drum samples (dbx 166a), plus lotsa magnificent noise courtesy of Fricke's little beast.
The Nanozwerg ("Zwerg" is German for "dwarf", btw.) is a powerful and inexpensive mono synth that has just the right amount of dirt and personality to make it interesting for me. Bought it a year ago for about 220 Euros and it's worth every penny in my opinion, it's small, easy to use and comes with a killer sound and tons of features you wouldn't expect in a synth of its class. VCO with four waveforms (saw, pulse, square, triangle), four octave ranges, CV and MIDI controls, various internal and external modulation options, the LFO can be driven into audio range for nice FM effects and even act as second VCO, Glide (portamento), subosc with four mix modes, including noise for percussive stuff (like the hihats and snare you hear in the demo), four filter models (bandpass, lowpass, highpass and notch), audio input, and more. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Dies ist eine quick & funky-Demo des analogen monophonen Synthesizers Nanozwerg, hergestellt von Manfred Fricke Berlin (MFB). Alle Sounds (Bassdrum, Snare, Closed Hi, Open Hi, TipTom low, Tip-Tom hi, Crapclap, Pad mit Filtersweep, Funk Lead und ein FM-Loop) wurden nacheinander mit dem Nanozwerg erstellt, mit einem Akai S-20 abgesampled und mit meinem Roland MC-50 MK II-Sequenzer arrangiert. Die Bassline nebst diversen Live-Modulationen stammt direkt vom Nanozwerg. Einige Kanäle wurden über einen sanften Chorus-Effekt geleitet (DigiTech TSR-12), die Drums wurden leicht komprimiert (dbx 166a) und dazu gibts reichlich funky noizeeee von Frickes kleinem Biest.
Der Nanozwerg ist ein leistungsfähiger und günstiger Monophonsynth, der genau die richtige Menge Dreck und Charakter in den Schaltkreisen hat, um ihn für mich interessant zu machen. Ich habe ihn vor etwa einem Jahr für ca. 220 Euro gekauft, das Ding ist wirklich sein Geld wert. Er ist klein, einfach zu bedienen und hat einen echten Killersound, sowie haufenweise Funktionen, die man in einem Synth dieser Ausführung nicht erwartet. VCO mit vier Wellenformen (Dreieck, Sägezahn, Pulse und Rechteck) mit vier wählbaren Oktaven, CV- und MIDI-Steuerung, verschiedene interne und externe Modulationsmöglichkeiten, der LFO kann in den Audiobereich gedreht werden, um abgefahrene Frequenzmodulationseffekte hervorzurufen und sogar als zweiter VCO dienen, wenn man ihn via LFO IN mit einem Signal von bis zu 10 Volt triggert, dann wären da noch Glide (Portamento), ein Suboscillator mit vier Mischarten mit dem Hauptsignal und Noise-Generator für perkussive Sounds (siehe die Hihats und Snare in meiner Demo), vier Filtermodelle (Bandpass, Tiefpass, Hochpass und Kerbfilter), Audioeingang, usw. Kann das Ding nur wärmstens empfehlen.

@HohleBirne: Danke! Die kleine MFB-Kiste kann echt was und macht auch noch Spaß, was will man mehr. Blöd nur, daß YT den Sound oft ziemlich verhunzt, im Original hört sich der Track nicht so übersteuert an.
