@Waislboy I certainly agree that essentially all block busters are long on action and typically short on other development - but that's why they are block busters; they are a different animal from Das Leben der Anderen, So weit die Füße tragen, etc. Although it is pretty ridiculous when people imagine depth in action blockbusters that isn't there, case in point, Avatar. Basically Pocahantas in space with cool action sequences, a solid 3/5. Can't really understand how that almost got Best Picture

@keysersozae Didn't say that, but you have to admit that many international block busters aren't really known for their story or emotions, but mostly for their effects and action (e.g. Avatar, Transformers, The Expandables etc). Of course, there are some nice exceptions, but those are... well, exceptions.

Also, considering the film advertised here: See Black Swan. Deeper than black, and still very, very successful. ;)

Warum müssen die meisten dt. Filme immer so trüb und voller Trauer sein? Allein dieser kalte Farbton versetzt mich in eine lustlose Laune.

@Gonko100 3-5 jahre xD das ist fast nix, ganz ehrlich ;) als ob jetzt filme von 2008 oder 2006 schlechter sind als heutige kinofilme..
