  • 1:04 I don´t think there should be car advertisement on the tram! I know that public transport authority gain money from this advertisement, but public transport authority don´t want people to buy and use cars instead of tram!! Dont they? Despite of it I think that former East Germany is the real tram paradise (no Prague, as you think :-)

  • well this can be considered another tram capital

  • How much tram systems do former East Germany cities have?

  • it appears that every medium sized city that i have been to has a tram system. some better than others. Even small cities have tram systems.

  • They have 166 Trams and 14 routes (1-4 and 7-16 - there is no 5 or 6)

  • also die Straßenbahnen in Leibzig geben richtig gas war einmal da :), aber finde die in Schwerin schöner ^^

  • It's a great city! My brother lives there and we visit regularly. Always take the 10 or 11 tram. The germans really know how to be efficient. Thanks for showing the Hauptbanhof again! Great times there!

  • I agree! Great video!

  • Search hear :

" Fahrzeugparade der Strassenbahn Halle Saale "

  • In the eastern 29 towns have a streetcar. In comparison to its population of ca 16,5Millionen is the world. By 1000mm up 1458mm gauge. Leipzig has the widest track 1458mm worldwide. Leipzig is also the city with the most superlatives worldwide. Give google "superleipzig"

  • And that´s it why I think former East Germany is tram paradise. Nowhere in the world had trams so big chance to survive. During communism was tram in safe. They weren´t deleted as in more western cities. And today in Central Europe they aren´t deleted like in east because cities have money and intelligent councils to look after trams.
