"Magic Holiday" formerly "The Kitchen Help" had it's first real live debut in mid 1968 at a battle of the bands. The 15 judges acclaimed Magic Holiday the best band of the evening offering them a trophy and a contract. Following that, Magic Holiday went on to perform in many other venues. The band was extremely popular especially among young teenagers. The song 'You Keep Me Hanging On' became one of the bands signature songs. In August 1969 during the annual Italian feast at Oxford Park in NDG, Montreal, thanks to this song a large crowd of people who were on the way to watch the fireworks returned to the front of the stage helping Magic Holiday create one of it's most memorable performances. (1.5 hrs. of music and dancing needing police control)

  • Very nice job Val ...the video came out great and got lots a nice feedback from the people I sent to and posted on Facebook...

  • @USAGlobalVideoCorp The band was from Montreal Canada...NDG to be precise ...west end of the city...there were lots of bands coming out of NDG in those days...we recorded the song in a second story warehouse on a Sony 2 track reel to reel with the original mikes ( Small)...so the sound is pretty crude ... but we were just happy to have the songs on tape,,,,,,we had about 12 to 15 original songs.Ernie was quite busy back then.......will have to get Val to set up another video session....LOL...

  • Great! Very nice. Thumbs up!
