Taxi - 2D Animation in After Effects

The animation revolves around the Lane family household. Gemma adopts the role as the leading character while Robert and Julia feature as Gemma's parents. In the first couple of scenes Gemma is an eight year old who is oblivious to the crumbling foundations of her parents marriage. The troubled relationship between both parents is illustrated by a visibly anxious Julia trying to get Roberts attention by knocking then banging and eventfully collapsing onto the office door. Although Robert used to be a devoted husband and father he has slowly become more reclusive over the past year, cutting all ties with friends family and reality. Eventually an exhausted Julia cuts her loses, grabs Gemma and heads to leave, never to see or hear from Robert ever again. Eight years on a sixteen year old Gemma returns to the Lane household hoping to find closure within the decaying monument to her past life. Gathering her courage she enters the house to discover that nothing has changed apart from her father's office door is now left open. Investigating this occurrence Gemma discovers the houses dark nature as she is transported into another dimension through a mirror positioned behind her father's desk.

very interesting transitions with the violent thuds, and im starting to see more of the paper style animation lately. I was following jus fine until the ending, it was a little abrupt. nonetheless, you did a marvelous job on the artwork, keep making animations
