@axel1973w Don't get a yamaha, they sound like the drum app on my iphone lol. alesis is ok but i much prefer roland.

@axel1973w Alesis is to my satisfaction, great rebound, beautiful sound, and great looks. I like roland, but alesis is cheaper AND (to me) better.

@wykisz Roland makes the SX is in the US, and the KX is everywhere else. Same kits.

Hi there! forget about the price a second... WHY whould someone take a TD9 and not a TD12 or TD20 ? im a bloody beginner looking for the right thing to have fun the next 5+ years but i dont want to get a rubber thingy drumset. im thinking about something that s as close as possible to an ordinary accoustic drumset. any recommentations ?? ever tried an ALESIS or YAMAHA E-Drumset ? What about those??? Any Feedback and opinion will help! THANKS A LOT and keep up the groove :) You Rock!

The TD9 was at the right price point for me, and the 12 and 20 was too much $. Since the 9 is newer and has a new sound set, some say it even sounds better out of the box. The newest TD-20 and the expansion board to the older TD-20s are the best, but quite expensive. Regarding feel, make sure you get mesh heads, as they feel the most like acoustic heads. Haven't tried the Alesis or Yamaha products, but there are plenty of folks who like them.
