Author John Perkins is no stranger to economic scandals. After all, he started his career as an economic hitman, where he would help corporations force smaller nations to go along with their economic scams so that CEOs could get a larger bonus every year. Thats why he wasnt surprised when our financial system completed fell apart. He saw the signs a long time ago, and although he has since repented his ways, it was the very tactics that he used as an economic hitman that took down our economy. Mike Papantonio talks about how all of this happened with John Perkins, author of the new book Hoodwinked.

So true 've been saying the samething about Obama for the last 4 months. The guy is a total dissapointment and I fear that he's going to be a one term president do his own fault.

A great example of this is American foreign policy. No President has deviated from the direction of U.S. policy one iota in at least 60 years (I'd argue 100 years).  Isn't it interesting that "Change" Obama comes in and our policy is continuing intact from the Bush years? Obama CAN'T change foreign policy! He is the PRESIDENT, yet his hands are tied by the policy itself - dictated by corporations.

Just answer one question for me. Would it be more productive to help peace efforts by dropping bombs or food? How does building a huge Hilton hotel help the little people in a country? How does building an industrial park help an indigenous uneducated person feed their family? HOW DOES DROPPING A BOMB HELP?!?!?

Obama is not a liberal. This congress is not entirely liberal. Most of the democrats are centrist or corporate controlled democrats.

International organizations (the WTO, the International Monetary Fund, the EU, the UN) have reduced countries to a state of slavishness. These are dominated by a few major players who are in turn dominated by wealthy interests.

And yes, it was always the corporations, George Bush was just a poor puppet, Obama is an amenable one. Stop calling it "predatory capitalism", "corporate communism", silly euphemisms, it is the inevitable end of capitalism.
