this was very helpful, thank you.

i did try this with my tower spec monk and apprentice while they were level 58 and 59, with poor equipment and the boss was far too hard. i decided to bite the bullet and upgrade a decent weapon on my 71 hero spec squire and was able to take him down easy in the end. my advice to anyone trying this is to use a dps hero, too.
