26th Harlem Ramblers Christmas Party 2008 with Pat Halcox.
For years, we have been trying to get Pat for our annual Christmas Party, but Mr. Barber had, naturally, the first call. After Pat`s well earned retirement in july 2008, it was «no problem» setting up the «gig». A health scare a couple of weeks before the date, plus forgetting a passport, caused a few nervous moments. The Party itself, with over 400 guests, was a big success.
It was a great pleasure to play with You. For the future we wish You all the best und a lot of good sessions.
The Harlem Ramblers Dixieland Jazzband from Zurich, Switzerland was founded in 1955, and, after various changes, settled down in 1969 to a well knit group. The band is still going strong with the hard core of Guenter Sellenath Trumpet, Thedy Schuetz Trombone, Chris Mitchell Banjo and Gerry Ceccaroni Drums. The latest Members are Hans Schlaepfer Bass and Wastl Berger Clarinet and div. Saxophone.
