I love this song. It made me tear up the first time I heard it. On a lighter note! Your accents kill me you Irish and English lads! ;) You make this American lass very happy! :D Come to America!!!!! :D Mainly Florida though please! ;)

A-a literate person? On the internet? Surely not.
I commend you sir. People like you keep my dwindling faith in
humanity going. Kudos to you. Whoever you are.
Also. This song nearly makes me cry. And i never cry....

@Snupble98 Your latest posting is much more rational and thoughtful -- well done! You have reasons to hate the horrible things which have been fostered upon humanity by individuals and organizations which FALSELY claim they represent God. Even though you claim that you do not believe in God, at some level you must wish or hope that God could or would directly intervene in the sordid affairs of humankind and END the ignorance, suffering, death and pain which envelops this world. It is my prayer.

one again i say i can not hate that which does not exist nor am i "oozing" with hate im merly trying to bring facts to the ill informed yes it was humans that did all those things but what i do hate is that there was anything for humans to expoit to cause those tragedies i dont hate chistians i have some vary good friends that are to religiosly inclined i just hate that few peaple know how such a religion was manipulated into those things i meraly wish to pervend history repeating in vane i fear
@Snupble98 From your words, expressed sentiments and limited intellect, it is rather obvious that you are a "far-left" loon. This song was written in 1976. It has nothing to do with the war in Iraq. It has nothing to do with oil. It has nothing to do with President Bush. (America does not receive any of its oil supply from Iraq.) I would be willing to surmise that you have no inclination to believe in the existence of a great Creator God. The likelihood must make you very uncomfortable.

@Blakter King David was inspired to write, "The fool has said in his heart, There is no God (Ps. 14:1)." It is actually very simple to understand. The existence of a creation requires a Creator. The existence of laws requires a Law Giver. The continuance of everything requires the a Sustainer. The existence of design requires a Designer. The existence of life requires a Life Giver. Something does not come from nothing. The existence of a universe proves that there is a great Creator God.
