well of course it's reliable once it's been gone over by a mechanic and fixed and I am sure they've figured out most quality problems by now

@MaddDogg81 german engeneering is realiable, in north america however we have a very bad pool of mechanics that work specifically for american or japanese makes. I have a 99 audi A6 with 280 000kms, I used to have problems when I bought it 8 years ago, with the suspension, electrics... took it to a VW/Audi expert, not only did he charge way less (480$ 4 wheel brake replacements) but since he mended my car, I've gone virtually problem free for 4 years now. on an old capricious car
