If you didn't guess by watching the video, there's nothing vicious about these two girls playing together. Shiba Inus and Pitbulls both have unfortunate reputations of being difficult to train and/or aggressive. I am a firm believer that a dog's attitude is reflective of its training. Shelby (the Shiba Inu female) is my AKC agility dog who shows at the Open level in Standard and the Excellent level in Jumpers with Weaves. Holly (the Pitbull/Lab mix female) is a well-socialized dog who loves to play and doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. Her and her litter mates were awaiting euthanization in the south before being shipped to a New Jersey no-kill shelter. Love your dog.

  • Thank GOD that wasn't a fight! My bf & I have raised a pure breed blue pit (Pudge the runt) he is the sweetest dog. Now my bf and I live in two seperate homes looking to get a house together. Pudge got along w/ 1 older small poodle but he hasn't been around other dogs. I have a 2 year old Shiba Inu/American Eskimo Mix (Emma). I was SO scared that they might fight & thought this video was a result of what I have to expect. Now I'm gonna share this with my bf. Do you think they'll get along well?

  • @LiLPeanutXoXo I gave it that title just to annoy people who really wanted to see two dogs fight (you'd be surprised how many people are really hoping to...it's sad). I think it doesn't depend so much on the breeds, but the personalities of the dogs. Does the Shiba Inu spend a lot of time around other dogs? If they have both been well socialized with other dogs, just introduce them on neutral ground so neither feels obligated to defend his/her turf.

  • i was sick when i saw the title

  • @EoinGlynn903 And then you actually watched it and realized it was sarcasm, I'm sure. I would love to disappoint any people who are truly looking for dog fight videos.

  • OMG!!! I've been wanting a shiba AND I own a pit bull... this vid is perfect.. =D Makes me wanna look for a shiba even more! what gender are they?

  • that wasn't a fight. That was just scratch and sniff -___-

  • my shiba inu does the same thing when play fighting, he whips his little butt around like a tail whip to avoid getting bit

  • Love it. I have a 3 year old Shiba Inu and just got a Pit bull puppy & they play constantly....love both my girls!!!

  • I love that you post videos like this to prove to people that it's all about the training (:

  • How old is the Shiba Inu??? Whats her Name :)

  • how old is the pitbull is look small compare to the other

  • I have a 7 month cream Shiba boy and he lives with 2 pitbulls. One is 8 months (boy) and the girl is 2 years.. he is a much "bigger" dog because he plays with them all day.. But they get together extremely well.. I will have to make some videos

  • I saw the quotation marks around "vicious" and "fight" lol. This reminds me of years ago when my German Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog and my friend's Husky/Collie used to wrestle and play fight together. They were better matched in size, tho, and used to really "get into it" with "sound effects," play biting and wrapping their legs around each other and wrestling. It was hilarious to watch and actually fooled some people who didn't know dogs into thinking they were really fighting.
