Tom met his future collaborator, conspirator and other half when he made the movie with Coppola.

Jeez...Take Me Home at 9:02. the light really shines down on this man. Stunning melody.

The re-release of the soundtrack with the balck trim on the cover and the street scene pic has extra tracks....and the Empty Pockets suite at the end of the re-release is unbelievable. Amazing. And how about that arranger on the score? Greatness...!

Great insight here to the working proceedures of a master musician and songwriter... Great footage!

The MUSIC is the movie. It is the finest and most complete soundtrack ever made.

I got the original 12" vinyl soundtrack off ebay in mint condition! this is amazing xD
This is great, I've never seen this before, thanks! Love his piano playing in the first 50 seconds, kinda reminds me of Thelonious Monk.
And BFWSabian, he's actually married to Kathleen Brennan.

@bigwaitsfan What you need are the soundtrack CD and the special edition DVD. Both are packed with gems. :-)

Intriguing, sclogse1. It does indeed sound (there's that word again) as if the Johnson Winery was tailor-made for Mr Waits.
