anyone who plays football himself knows how easily one can lose balance whilst sprinting and then one slight touch to the foot makes you fall...

Put it this way - the first one's a clear dive (he falls before the keeper's near him), and his knee is offside anyway, (0:15). And no, it was an attempt for the ball. The second is inexcusable, but it is a fierce rivalry and you get that sort of thing in those games. The third, yes, it's a foul, although, as ever, he made the most of it (and some extra). The fourth was a stupid example, as Ronaldo was doing the fouling there, and the other player didn't know where he was (head direction, 2:08).
