Jerimiah Marques, Bob Smith, Peter "Sonny" Nash, Steve " Big Dick " Saunders, Fergie "Flathead" Fulton and Stephen "Cupsey" Cutmore wwinning 1989 Banks best of Blues competition hosted by Jools Holland
I was also there playing bass in the runner-up band. I would love to find a copy of the recording but have been unsuccessful so far. The whole show was televised after midnight on ITV if I remember correctly.
I was there, travelled in the hired double decker from the "FLock" pub in Braintree, i was the guy who heckled Jools off stage....Not something im proud of now though
i was so sad to hear of the death of pete nash , i had the honour to play with pete at various boogaloo weekends that i was involved with & found pete to be a very humble guy & a wonderfull piano / guitar player who understood the music he was dedicated to & played it with the conviction of someone who really knew what the blues is all about
Booze n Blooze won through 2 rounds(?) at our local pub "The Gristmill" in Royal Leamington Spa. Ten of us Traveled down to their home coming gig @ Braintree.
