They aren't economic facts, they are UN statistics verified by thousands of hours of research, which determines which countries are most developed. I think all this argument about nations and national allegiances is missing the point- Connolly was a socialist, a member of the IWW, an influential Marxist organizer of his day, and a citizen of the global working class. Read his essays on Irish independence and socialism, and see how much Irish bourgeois nationalism meant to him.

All they are used to is bombs.Consistently higher unemployment rates compared to the south, the facts dont lie. Things might be bad here, i know where i would rather live. Look at the state of britain. The fact is the standard of living is higher in the republic of ireland than in the UK as a whole.
