Typhoon stole idea from Blendo. Blendo robot was build by mythbusters team in 1995. and it was disqualified because of high dangerous. Try to find in youtube - Blendo

Typhoon 2 caused a lot of damage there. Even the arena was smashed and beaten. Bit scary at the time.
